Sucess story

After wasting about 4 kg of PET plastic using slic3r I got Simplify3D. To my surprice the first print was a success. As well as the second.

My original build thread with some photos.

I have some warping. The base needs to be completely flat. There is about 0,5 mm warping at the edge of the base compared to the center. Is it possible to compensate for warping in Simplify3D? I will try to print the piece the other way around.

The part needs sanding. I am worried that the part becomes too small relative to the CAD drawing. Any thoughts?

Re: Sucess story

Nice prints! And welcome to the boards! For warping, probably the best way to fix it is to make sure the edges of the part are held down for as long as possible. There's many ways to do this in S3D, but I prefer to use a brim. They have a tutorial about it here: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/tuto ... and-brims/

That will help hold the edges down and prevent warping during the print.
