Processes and layer height ???

I need to start using processes to change temp speed extrusion multiplier and cooling speed for different parts of the model.

problem is this process function is based on "layer" and not any meaningful usable measure (like physical height in mm or %)

so how do I graphically in simplify 3d figure out layer height? is there a way I can move a work plane in simplify ON my model to be printed and get it to tell me "this is layer 4 this is layer 257 this is layer 1825 etc.. so I can drag a work plane to where I want to make a process change see the layer height and now I know what layer height to input into the new process in simplify? or am I reading that wrong and not thinking how to use it properly?

is that layer just process layer and not relevant to the layer on the model itself and I simply set start and end print heights? so say print start at 0 end at 100 this process process 2 start at 100 end at 105 etc.. ?? (mm)

will this work with vase/spiral single outline mode? or will that "brake" the continuous motion operation?

Cross section tool and some math.

height (mm) / layer height= layer?

layer height * layer = height (mm)

oh god I feel really really stupid about now. dammit. of course mm times 5 is layer height (at .2mm). damn I feel stupid.

so that entry in simplify is layer height in layers right? so if I want to make a change 100mm up the model at .2mm I would tell it layer 500 to make the change?

You should take into account the first layer height as well.

nah. for what I am doing that kind of precision (.2mm) is irrelevant.

if I get the process layer selection within 10% I am good.
