Help with gaps

I'm trying to print the following http://www.thingiverse.com/download:488652 but no matter what i do I can't get the gap between the tube and the body to fill. Cura is able to slice this correctly but I'd really like to use S3D. I've tried using "Heal" and "Thin Walled Behavior" but those settings are not making a difference.

Any ideas?

Re: Help with gaps

Here's the magic cure........

Select the feature "Separate Connected Surfaces" on the Mesh menu.

The part will then slice perfectly.

This feature was introduced on v3.0.2 and is for some a truly magical and life-saving feature. What it does is to separate out unconnected meshes in the model into separate model definitions. When using it, you will notice additional entries in the Models list...these are the separated meshes. Then, when S3D slices the now separated meshes, it correctly merges the meshes into one for slicing.....eliminating the separation that was there before.
