Parts tend to have a "lip" on the bottom which, apart from being an aesthetic negative, affect the overall dimensions which can be problematic when pieces must fit together.
Lip generation is, at least, a combination of first parameters including layer height, extrusion width, extrusion multiplier, Z-offset errors....
It is in many ways the unintentional consequence of the tight packing that users try to achieve on the first layer for good adhesion and fill.
At present, a popular workaround seems to be adding a chamfer to the bottom of parts!
However it should be possible to create a parameter to counter this that might, for example:
- reduce the extrusion width & subtly shift the placement inwards of the outermost perimeter
Any thoughts?
