Hi
I've just installed the 3.1 update, everything went well

Then I just tried to slice a part, save it to the SD, and print it.... Problem is the printer is not showing the file !!

Only the part.gcode is on the SD, no trace of any "part.x3g" there.... thus my printer is not happy (FF creator Pro)..I mean the printer is still happy but not me

Didn't find a setting for that

Is it just a bug ? or am I missing something here ?

It's working fine for me. Try exporting it to your hard drive with a unique name and see if it shows up. Perhaps your SD card is full or your profile is not setup correctly.. You could also try re-downloading your profile by going back to Help > Configuration Assistant

Some updates...

Problem auto solved by rebooting the machine, I was using S3D right after the 3.1 update

Problem again this morning....

Just found why....

On the process settings - scripts : there's now Post processing options..
If "standard gcode" is selected as "export file format", only a .gcode is saved
If "binary X3G file" is selected, both .x3g & gcode are saved on SD card

I have an FF Creator and it worked for me. It was different though. It used to show producing the gcode and I had to find the x3g file next to it. Now the software exported the x3g file from the print to file function. I always print to a place on my hard drive and switch between a couple of CD cards. I never printed from SD card until Windows 10 came along, and I'm hoping they fixed the USB error problem for good.

I have the same problem - no x3g file created.

I am using a creator pro, and a robo r1+, and I can't get any SD prints from either, and I can't print what so ever on the creator pro. Iv'e restarted my printers, and simpifly 3d. I have deleted and re-downloaded the program. I have changed the export format setting for the creator pro to x3g. andI still get no x3g file generated.

When I have the script set to export only g-code, on the creator pro, I get a message saying that I need an x3g, so when I change to script to run a x3g I get the message "An error was encountered while running the GPX plugin. The desired binary x3g file was not created"

when I save a file to the SD, sometimes they do not show up after export, however even when they do, the machine will not print them. It only prints with USB.

Well there's your problem. If it can't run GPX, it isn't going to make an x3g file. What OS version are you using?
