Slow extrusion start on skirt

HI all,
QIDI printer with S3D. Lets say I am printing a 3"x6" rectangle in PLA. The printer does the primer/test extrude across the front of the plate fine. Then when it goes to start the first skirt outline it will travel up to 3" with maybe a remnant of material extruding, a little stringing and some tiny blobs before it really starts to lay down material. At first I thought it was just traveling to the start point dragging some ooze but watching it when it completes the first path it ends where this poor extrusion starts. It seems like it does a large retraction after the prime/test pass and then takes a bit to reload.

Thanks for any thoughts.

sounds like you need to adjust you extra restart distance on the Extruder tab to a small number like .2, and then test it and readjust in small increments until its good.
