Not responding/stalling during large file parsing

During the slicing of a 12mb file S3D keeps stalling at the very end of this task. "not responding" comes up about haft the way through this file, but the status bar continues to move up to about 98%. At this point everything stalls. This file at a much smaller scale slices fine. Is this normal for large files? Do I just keep waiting? or have i missed a setting that can fix this.

Re: Not responding/stalling during large file parsing

Can you attach the file or perhaps upload it to dropbox and post a link? That way others could try it to see if it works on their computers.

I've sliced MUCH larger files without any issues, but I know once the slicing gets near the end it usually tries to automatically load the preview for the file. If it's a really complex print, the preview can be quite large and require a decent amount of system resources. So you could try going to Tools > Options, Visualization tab, and then switch to the "low detail" preview mode. That will help a lot. On that same tab, you can also try disabling the "automatically load preview after slicing" option which will confirm if your computer is having trouble loading the large preview.
