App not opening- not responding

I've used S3D for over 2 years without a problem but haven't used it in about 2 months. The app will not open now. I have uninstalled 3.1 using the provided uninstall app with my package and re-installed 3. clean. Still will not opening (non-responsive). Running OSX 10.11.16. help.

Same thing is happening to me. It states "Connection Error". :(

Is the computer connected to the Internet? Do you have aggressive firewall settings that might be preventing the license check in Simplify3D?
