Dense support layers don't follow set angles

Hello,
I have my supports set up to print squares at -45 and 45 degrees.
However, the dense support layers are always printed in the same orientation.
If they could also be crossed, I'm sure the dense layers would be nice and flat after about 3 layers.
I now need at least 6 because they keep falling into the same gaps..
Can this be fixed?
Thanks!
