adjust raft settings

The part below is a big ring shape and Simplify3D keeps making the raft an entire filled-in circle. It's a waste of time and material when the raft can be a ring shape touching the model only. Any way to adjust the raft settings so it puts a ring shaped raft instead of an entire filled-in circle?

You might want to try using a brim. I usually find that it helps hold the part down even better than a raft, and it uses a LOT less plastic

There actually is a brim on that build. It's the outer ring that's two layers. I'm not sure how you get anything to stick to a brim since the brim is supposed to be on the outside of the part.

If you set the "Skirt offset from part" setting to zero, then the brim will actually touch the outside of the part. Your screen print shows a gap.

It's also explained more here if you haven't used it before:

Thanks for the info. I did end up going with a 0mm offset brim. That cut my build time down by an hour. Only issue was that all the support structures were directly touching the platform, upon which some of them started lifting mid print.

Try increasing the number of outlines until the supports print on the brim.
