Better process profile control

Just purchased S3D and so far my biggest annoyance has been process profiles and the auto-configure for material. I think all setting need to be independent of each material. What is the point of having auto-config for materials if we can't change the common settings changed for different materials, like bed temperature and print speed, from the GUI. I'd love to here other peoples thoughts on this.

There's plenty of threads on this topic already. You can setup your profiles to change whatever you want for material, quality, etc. So if you think print speed should be based on the material, you can configure it that way. Personally, I would rather that setting be controlled by the quality selection, so I have my profiles setup in a different manner.

So the point that we agree on is that some settings need to be independent of each other. The means of being independent, material or quality, is different.

Yes and you can already set it up that way. You can make them independent or controlled by the material or quality. It's completely up to you and you can customize all you want
