3D Systems Cube 3rd Generation printer driver

Somebody use this printer? (from subject)
Because I tried that with the other 3D systems driver (CubePro, and CubeX) but for me it is not working.

The printer is very accurate, but the original 3D systems software is too simple and didn't have adjustment options.
The Simplify3D could be a good option.

I am also curious about this as I just picked one of these machines up for next to nothing.

The CubePro works with Simplify3D, but the Cube? Why would anyone willingly buy one now? They're not good, and even at their steeply discounted price (there's a reason no one wants to buy them) there are better options.
The 3rd gen Cube has been abandoned by the company that made it, has no third party support (it uses yet another different encryption) and is locked in to overpriced filament cartridges that are no longer being made. Do not buy that thing unless you really just want an expensive headache.

I went down that road. Its a waste of time. 1) the Cube 3rd Gen is too proprietary. 2) can only use their filament cartridges. 3) that thing is insanely loud. You can't be in the same room with it when it is running.

I did grab a Cube 3 as result of the "unbeatable deal" stores are doing (lol)....
While the filament carts are already hacked, i wouldnt call it a "very accurate machine" like first post claimed.
Some print demos.
BENCHY DUAL was my first test.... Need no words.
Second print is some sort of ROTFL too...
- All the prints so far start at the edge of the bed no matter where i put them on the software
- I did scale the frog a few times before hitting BUILD and send it to the printer but what I dont reach to understand is WHY IN THE NAME OF ZEUS' BUTTHOLE the printer "reescales" it on "realtime" (other than buggy slicing engine??)
I 've seen someone already running a RUMBA on it and that may be the next step i'll look into...
as the slicer that comes with the software is just a
PURE JOKE!

FWIW I believe the encryption on cubepro files is the same as the one on cube2 and cube3 3dsystems printers. Use simplify3d as you would for a cubepro and then rename the file instead of .cubepro name it to the extension your 3dsystems printer uses and it will work. Tried with success on a cube2

You mean rename .gcode to.cube and that's all?? are you sure? why they did reverse engineered the files and created an encoder/decoder software for then?

No, he's saying go through all the stuff you have to do to make a .cubepro file - Export a BFB file from S3D, then encrypt to cubepro with cube-utils or CodeX. Then once you have a .cubepro file, rename it to .cube or whatever the Cube 3 uses.

How long does it take for a 1.8MB BFB file to be converted to cubepro? it's been already a long while and screen is still showing "this may take a couple minutes"....
Running VMWare Windows 7 1Gb RAM window and native CodeX 32bit version....
