Slicer is filling in hole with material

Hi All

I've been using Simplify3D with my Taz5 for 6 months or so and haven't had many problems. I've come across one now that I'm not sure how to fix though.

First, I'm using a dedicated PC for running the Taz/Simplify3D running Win 10 and Simplify3D ver 3.1.0. Running "check for updates" says there's no new software available, but I see the website is listing 3.1.1 so I'm not sure why it's not attempting to get that update.

The problem: The slicer has filled in an empty space in one of my prints - I haven't seen that before. The STL file sat on the bed looks fine, but after hitting "Prepare to print", it shows that the void has an unsupported diaphragm created, which is exactly what has printed.

Any ideas as to what's going wrong?

thanks
Danny
