Stringing-Scarring

Hi all, need a little help getting this scarring or stringing eliminated.

PLA, at 200. FFCP printer.

retraction at 2mm and 1800mm/min all other settings pretty much defaults.

hiya,

there are a few things:

1) increase the retract setting to 5 or 7 mm. if you find that there is filament missing when it prints after the retraction, add some extra restart distance. a positive value reinserts the filament by the retract setting value plus what ever you set in the extra restart distance. Therefore it stands to reason a negative value will reinsert the filament minus the extra restart distance value (later stops blobbing on restart)

2) retraction vertical lift so the nozzle is lifted of the higher than the part.

3) Some wipe and or coast to get some of the excess off. in advanced there is a retract during wipe which might aid you in your quest.

these have served me well when dealing with stringing.
