Hiding table in preview hides table in regular view

Hi,
When I unchecked table in the preview it hides the table from the regular view too. This setting remains after closing and re-opening the application
There doesn't seem to be a way to get the table to display other than going back into preview mode and enabling it.
Can we have an option to show/hide the table when in the regular view?
