Blobs and Zits & object orientation

Hi

I have model of wind turbine. Today I printed tower.
First problem are blobs on start of every layer. Retraction distance is 1 mm. I have change extra restart distance for -0,2 as it is written in print quality troubleshooting guide for Blobs. But then I got other problem it seems there is too little plastic on start and there are even some holes in outer layer (seen of figre 1 (not the holes they are a little higher). I clear extra restart distance back to 0 mm and retraction distance is 1 mm. I get this blobs in every layer on the start (figure 2).
I selected start point for layer so all the blobs are in line (it is easyer to remove them).

1. What else can I change to remove this blobs?.

2 Question.
How would you turn this rotorblade to print it best. If I rotate it 90 degres I have to put supports below and it gets realy ugly.

Thanks

Well to avoid blobs, you're really looking for the perfect settings that are right between having too much plastic or too little plastic at the start of a loop. So if you are seeing a gap, try moving a bit the other direction until the gap is just barely closed. Go too far, and you will start to see a blob again from having too much plastic.

As for your blade, I would actually probably try to print it upright. Does it fit vertically?

Abaur blobs, lowest value you can change in S3D is 0,2 mm, i have done this but in one value are blobs and in first lower value there is to little plastic. Is it possible to enter value manualy like 0,9mm instead 0,8 or 1mm??

Blade doenst fit verticaly its 220mm long and I have only 150 verticaly. I will put some supporst but it always gets ugly.

I think coasting would help a lot to get rid of your blobs at the seams. Try enabling that with ~1mm instead of negative restart distance. You can manually enter a smaller value for extra restart, bit I personally try to avoid it whenever possible because it can be very bad when you do small detailed parts (the extruder can end up going backwards)

Also, if I were printing those blades for looks and strength, I'd split them in half by sinking it halfway into the plate along the chord length, then epoxy them together afterwards. A couple of seconds with an exacto knife or sandpaper will clean up the seam and they'll look great from both sides.

Coasing is for those blobs on the end of retraction. I mostly manage that. But printing this blade is imposibble, lower layer is only half of blade and supports doesnt print for only one layer. I have tried like 15 times today and it was all shit. Yes tomorrow I vil cut blade on 2 parts rotate it verticaly and then stick it together.

Thanks for tips.
