How to get smooth surface

When I slice the object using MakerBot (v 3.10) I get a very smooth surface along the surface (see image). I'm trying to use Simplify3D to achieve the same effect but at the default settings, I get a very rough surface. Any suggestions on what I can change in Simplify3D to get a smoother surface?
Thanks,
Jamie

Any chance you can upload a Factory File rather than the .fff file.
It is far more convenient and much easier to view settings on the tabs in S3D than look them up in a printed list!!

Anytime I see ripples like that, it's almost always a sign of overheating. So I would try adding more cooling or lowering the extruder temperature a bit. Basically, just keep cooling it more until the extrusions don't seem so wiggly and are confirming to the part outline better.
Also, it may help if you posted the files from the other software too so that people can test it themselves

nozzle temp, fan speed and print speed - match those and you'll get same quality
pay attention to how makerbot does the cooling ... if you are printing only one of these crews s3d can only slow down printing and turn on the cooler nothing else, iirc makerbot's sw will move the head and run around letting each layer cool.
easiest way, when possible is to print more then one at a time

.. this gives the others time to cool down

Cool. Let me try and see if I can improve the results. Thanks for feedback!
