Surface issues with Mk2

I have tried wipe no wipe, coast, more retraction, less retraction, faster slower.

I am at my wits end, I can not figure out how to fix this.

it seems to be happening at the end of a layer or any retract.
.4mm nozzle .2mm layer height, ,42mm extrusion width

40mm/s print speed

I really feel as though I wasted my money here.

Re: Surface issues with Mk2

It looks like your retraction settings need a little work. They give you all the controls you need, since you can use coasting to get less plastic at the end, and extra restart distance to get less plastic at the beginning. So you just have to find the right combination that closes the loop without creating extra plastic. I usually adjust the retraction distance and wiping settings to help with stringing, so if you are just dealing with blobs on the outside of the part, I would start with coast/extra restart.

Are you sure it is happening at the end of the layer ? Or does it happen at the start of the layer.

If it happens at the end of the layer -> try enabling Wipe and Check "Retract while wiping" in advanced tab
If this happens at the beginning of the layer -> Try adjusting the extra restart distance, a small negative value may help.
