Cancel one failed process during a sequential print?

Is it is possible to pause mid-print and cancel/delete a failed model/process from a sequentially printed job where each model has its own process?

I run a middle school digital fab lab. I have students load their model onto the Simplify3D bed and then create a process for just their own model. After the bed is filled, or at the end of class, I run the job in sequential print mode. If one model fails, then I have to restart the entire job. Ideally, I know, I would print one model at a time, but with three Makergear M2s and lots of students, this isn't feasible...

If the answer to my question is "no", any other suggestions for improving workflow would be appreciated!

I'm not sure of any way to magically skip parts of the gcode mid-print, but if each model has it's own process, then you could easily just stop the print and re-slice skipping the one you don't want to print.

So let's say you originally select processes 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 (each one is for a specific model). You can start printing that single gcode file that is going to try to print all 5 models, one at a time. Then let's say it fails when it gets to #3. Just stop the print, then re-slice only selecting processes 4 and 5. Then you can print only those 2 parts skipping the bad one. Just be sure to double check your starting script to make sure it doesn't do any moves that will collide with the already printed objects

You should be worried only if it is printing in a Continuous Mode.. Since you are doing Sequential printing to begin with, I believe it is easier to cancel the print, take out the ones that completed and reslice the remaining models and print again (like Brian said)..

I am not sure what is going wrong here, but if it is due to Mesh errors, you can Makeprintable.com to fix it.
