Proper way to start an SD print from S3D

Hey all,

I am trying to figure out what im doing incorrectly with starting SD card prints from S3D. I slice my file save it to the SDcard then through the manual control panel I choose start print from SD card. Everything starts fine but when I hit disconnect at the top the print continues but halts on its next move. This is strange, why does it matter if the USB is still connected if it should be printing from SD at that point. Is there a particular procedure people have for starting SD prints through S3D and then disconnecting? I have recently had a really bad time with USB printing causing disconnects and halting prints so I am trying to ensure I dont print at all with the USB active.

I do not have an external screen to start or stop SD prints from either thats why I start things from S3D

Because a lot of printers are setup to restart each time a new serial connection is opened or closed. So just disconnecting can restart some printers.

Have you tried just unplugging the USB cable by just pulling it out of the computer (and not clicking the Disconnect button first)?
