First layer not sticking to raft

No idea what is going on or how to describe this problem. I should say before hand that I've successfully printed dozens of prints before and have printed this specific part using MakerBot in the past, but Simplify3D is having a lot of problems- and it's not a difficult part (no overhangs or fine detail)

I'm printing a raft using HIPS and the part is eSun ABS+ at 250/230C w/ a 110C bed on my Monoprice 3D Printer (Flashforge Creator). I've re-leveled the bed and re-tried this print at least 6 times. Assuming I'm not totally incompetent when it comes to bed leveling, any ideas?

Thanks!

Looks like the only issue in the picture is that the first layer of the part didn't stick well enough to the top layer of your raft. So I would try reducing the raft separation distance. Or even better, don't use a raft and just print directly on the bed. Add a brim if you need better adhesion. It works far better than a raft in my experience.

I had something similar happen on my i3 when trying to print a 180mm 3.5mm rod. Even with a raft it would pop loose at the ends.

Ultimately, this is what I did to get around it:
