Simplify3D User Forum

Hi,

I'm new to 3D printing. I'm wanting to print some objects which are larger than 200mmx150mm (Qidi Tech Printer, dual extruder). The features of Simplify3D aren't real clear on this. If I import an object that is larger than my print area, can this software break it into 3-4 sub objects that will fit and print? I appreciate any responses on this, it's the only question I have so far for keeping me from buying what appears to be a great software package.

They let you use the print bed to split large models, and they have options to start or stop printing at a specific location, so I have done this a few time for tall object. For example, I was printing a tall rocket ship, and I used these options to print it in 3 sections, since it was almost 600mm tall!

So there's definitely ways to do it for tall prints and things like that.
