Really odd bridging issue

So I've been going nuts trying to print a new fan duct for my Duet Wifi Powered FFCP. See https://www.duet3d.com/forum/thread.php?id=723 if you want to know that story.
In any event I keep trying to get the bottom section to bridge and instead of getting the 3rd Outline Perimeter shell I keep getting a diagonal extrusion and the bridges are a total mess. I've re-sliced and printed the same part about 5 times. I just now realized it was missing that 3rd outline. So now I'm printing it with 2 instead of 3. Oddly enough the top bridging issue has worked perfectly before, the bad part is I don't know why or how. Before you ask I don't have the original g-code files. This problem appears to have vanished if I use 2 walls.

Any thoughts ?
Thanks,
Jeff
