controling the print head with mouse, touch scror touch pad.

I have had a few problems with the print head moving on without benefit of existing filament. For some reason the head stopped extruding. It would be great if I could point to a spot on the build then have the print head return to that spot and continue the build from that point.

I have experimented with backing the print head up over "bad spots" and had the extruder add more filament. It worked.

Haha, that is an interesting suggestion. If this gets implemented I would feel like living in the future.

On a serious note, it may not be practical as in, you really have to press that switch when you are within the same layer to ensure that it is not colliding with a previously printed segment. In addition, when you click on that area, there is no way for the printer to know what you are pointing at, how much to print.

IF this were to be implemented, this has to be done with a closed source system that is controlled by sort of an AI.
