Hello,
I am trying to produce products that require all tracks to run inside-out. If I cannot get Simplify3D to agree to do this, some parts to my design will need to be produced using injection molding, which I am trying very hard to keep from doing.
As this design encompasses parts to a product that will be marketed, I cannot get too much into particulars and cannot give drawings or STL files on it. What I can do is try and describe in simple terms what is going on.
If I were trying to build a flat-topped, hollow pyramid upside down, and had to do this without any support other than a raft, the obvious problem would be to tie all tracks together without going outside any existing tracks more than a previous track can support. Using the inside-out feature of Simplify3D, one would think, would bind all other settings such as infill to this requirement - Which does not seem to work as I would expect it to. I may need to produce a script or perhaps alter some settings someplace, but whatever Simplify3D might need to do this, I would appreciate someone explaining this to me.
Thanks.
