Hairy Prints Feature

Hi Simplify3D,

We were discussing on Twitter and on other social platforms that it could be great to have "Hairy Prints" option in a slicer.
Let's say, users can highlight the area with something and then hair will appear. "Hair" is actually created by bridging that may stick to a shell at the other end of simply fall unsupported. I know this is more of a designing software feature, but at the same time, your manual support placement looks similar.

Interesting. I'm used to try to get rid of the hairs on my prints (plastic that oozes when doing travel movements), but in this case, you want to intentionally create the hairs? I'm guessing this would be for creative aesthetic reasons?

Hairy prints are booming at the moment. If you go on twitter and type: #hairyprints you will find a lot of awesome models.
Like this lion.

Re: Hairy Prints Feature

Neat example! So do you just cut away the outer ring beyond those hairs? Why is that needed?

The outer wall/ring is there to hold the outer end of the "hair", so in essence the hairs are long bridges from the model to the sacrificial wall.
