Settings files questions.

Windows 10, S3D. 3.0.

1. Where are process settings files stored and how does one export/import and edit them outside S3D?

2. On the compound settings profiles (LulzBot Taz 5 for example), is there a list of what settings are global for the whole profile and what settings are stored/changed with the Material dropdown and what are stored/changed in the Quality dropdown.

For #1, I wanted to replicate some external settings profiles into one of the compound profiles such as listed in #2.

For #2, I created a PETG material dropdown. I then set all the tabs from data from a new profile I have been using. Unfortunately when saved, the (other tab)default print speed, bridging info, retractions, additions, and script tabs seemed to have been saved for EVERY material. Good God. Those should be specific to a MATERIAL! ABS doesn't ooze nor string, PETG does. ABS prints at a higher speed than PETG. It altered those settings for EVERY material. Sigh.

I swear there used to be a settings file in older S3D versions called *.fff files. I can't find them for 3.x. Nor do I see any ability to export or import any.

Look at File > Import/Export FFF Profile. If you want to see what is changed for each auto configure option, just open the .fff file in a text editor and scroll down to the bottom. If you want to change something like speed for material, then just add <defaultSpeed> to each <autoConfigureMaterial> section. There's lots of threads on the forum explaining it in more detail.

Yea, I totally missed the export in the file menu. Its so rare I visit that menu as its not usually required for day to day ops.
