Sometimes I print many copies of the exact same part on the build plate at the same time, and I want the parts to be identical.
However, due to optimizations, S3D will not generate the exact same movements/retractions/etc for each of these parts. This means that for instance vertical seams will not be in the same place on each copy of the part. Especially for the first layer this can be an issue, because for parts that has many islands (due to holes, for instance) and small details, there is often a certain order of extrusion paths that gives a better end result than others.
So, what I would like to have, is a simple checkbox or something to tell S3D that all copies of the same part should be printed the exact same way, and perhaps to designate one of the copies as the "master". That way it would be possible to first experiment with the settings for just one copy, and when ready, it could be copy/pasted to as many as needed, and every copy would be printed the same. Optimizing travel between parts should still be done by S3D as it usually does, as long as each copy of the part is printed exactly the same way.
I guess I might be able to work around this issue by creating a new process for each part, and then manually finding/calculating and setting the start point for each process to the same position on each part (in reference to where on the build plate the part is). However, that would be very tedious, and quite impractical for cases where I print a lot of copies (sometimes as much as 30-40 copies).
