The default startup Gcode for the MakerGear M2 has a serious bug. It begins “M108 S155” which is appropriate for the old M2s but not currently shipping ones. This will attempt to turn on the extruder fan at 60% power, and that will not allow it to turn, potentially causing an extruder meltdown.
Just remove that line from the startup Gcode.
