Strange artifacts at some walls

Hi!

I have a Monoprice Select Mini and am using the recent Simplify3D 3.1.1 for slicing. Being a beginner, most settings and countermeasures for artifacts are quite new to me.

After I modified the settings according to the community (especially setting the layer height to multiples of 0.04375 and reducing the overall and first layer speed, I printed the well-known 3DBenchy model at medium quality (layer height 0.21875).

I was quite happy with the result except for strange artifacts (see arrow in the picture below), which happen reproducible but only on one side of the print, and do not disappear not matter how slow I set the speed and how exact I calibrate the bed.

I tried to use the troubleshooting guide, but did not find a matching pattern. It does not look like blobs and zits, as it seems to be not protruded material but strangely arranged, molten layers. Could be overheating, but if this would be the case, why would it only happen there? I'm printing with 200°C extruder and 60° C bed. Activating "coast at end" did not solve the problem either.

Do you have any idea what the problem might be?

Try changing the setting on one of the first tabs about changing the start point and see if it helps or makes any difference.

I never used these uneven layer heights. I always use 0.1, 0.2 or 0.3mm.
However your result is looking more like a cooling problem.
If you don't have active cooling try to reduce the temperature and/or printing speed.
