I want to store Notes in a factory file

I want to have a "Notes" Field in my factory files, so that I can keep track of my thoughts, experiments and important insights concerning this part.
Background:
When designing 3d printed parts, I go through a few iterations. I try out different settings, like layer heights, supports, temperatures and so on. These settings are very important and must be tweaked for each part separately.
I like to create a factory file which I use for each part.
However, I need to keep track of all the things I tried out and what the results were. It would be convenient if just had a "Notes" field where I could write it all down in plain text.
