Mac Version Buttons Stay Selected, Windows Open on Mouseover

I am running the current 3.1.1 version on my Macbook Pro. Simplify 3D stays open for days on end, and I am noticing the longer it stays open, buttons for Edit Process Settings stays selected, even when this window is closed. Then if I mouse over it, it then reopens the Edit process window.
If I close the app, this behavior usually stops for a while and then will return. Not sure if this is a bug or a corrupted install. I have uninstalled using the uninstall app and reinstalled, but it did not resolve the issue.
