Connection to Airwolf Failed

I have tried a couple of times to connect the Simplify 3D Print portal to my printer.
Error is always:
"attempting connection at....Error Connecting to port"

I have tried various routes to solve - from changing baud rates, refreshing to find a COM source, trying different USB ports (have 3 on the laptop), and looking at the control panel for the root connections.

Details
PC Laptop (brand new) - running Windows 8.1
Printer: Airwolf 3D XL

What version of the software are you using?

Are you sure you chose the correct baud rate? When you try to connect to the printer, do you see the yellow RX/TX lights flashing on the electronics board?

Re: Connection to Airwolf Failed

For others - it turned out to be the laptop needed a Com3 port driver adding.
Found this, installed, and connected straight away.
