Printing via USB stops when moving user screen

I was under the assumption that the USB printing was done via a background process? If I attempt to move the S3D window around with the mouse OR do some editing of the Process, the printing pauses until I relieve the process.

Would be nice to be able to start setting up another print while one of them is running in the background (through USB). I don't normally print through USB, but figured I would submit this.

Try opening another instance of S3D and work within that.

i dont have this happen at all. i print from usb no problem then work on getting a few more prints ready. only time i have it stop for a sec is when its slicing a large complex item or working out the preview. both are processor heavy processes and can cause the print to stop but just for a couple seconds or so. as soon as the processor is free it starts going again. none of this is a bug but im not sure if thats the same problem your seeing. i am also on a mac.

Ok.. While it is printing through USB, goto File->Open Factory FFF, and let the screen sit there. My print will pause until I close that screen.

This happens to me on Windows 7. It will also pause while the "Save G-Code Output" window is open after clicking "Prepare".

Hello togehther,

I noticed this problem too. When printing via USB (with a Leapfrog Creatr this is the only way) and moving the "Machine Control Panel" the printer stops printing until you release the window.
I'm working on Win7.
