Bug: Sparse infill every x layers speed.

When I use print sparse infill every 3 layers, the 2 layers with no infill perimeter speed slows down to the speed set by "support structure under speed."

When the print gets to print the layer with the infill, the perimeters speed back up to normal speed. The only way to fix this is to turn up "support structure under speed." to match "outline under speed".

This is really annoying as I'm printing at 0.1mm layer height and hence infill is 0.3mm every 3 layers. and want to use this feature to speed my prints up..

I hope this post makes sense, and trust that this nasty bug will be fixed.

This really is the best Slic3r I have used.

Thanks

David

Are you sure you don't mean the cooling slowdown speed?

When I use this option, the layers that don't have any infill print slower based on the cooling settings that you use. There is a minimum layer time and a maximum slowdown percentage that is allowed. It makes sense to me that a layer without any infill needs to print slower to make sure it has time to cool before putting more plastic on top of it. But of course, you can disable that option on the Cooling tab if you want it to print faster.
