Add a homing command at the top of your ending script.

You can read about the command to add here:

Hello !

One important thing : Think it's a 3D printer !!!

NEVER home after a print ! it's dangerous for your printer and printed object

Depend of your 3D printer, but in many cases, like mine, if I home when the print are finished, the center bar simply go down on printed piece and explode them !

I prefer use a softer mehod added some lines to the End script like this :

G91
G1 X10 Y10 Z10
M104 S0 ; turn off extruder
M140 S0 ; turn off bed
M107 ; disable fan
M84 ; disable motors

The second line is the most important : it move the extruder 10mm more on X Y Z at the end
it prevent the end of hotend to burn the printed object and was enought on any print

Go home is useless because in any case, when you start a print, the printer make a Home All :p

You are correct that homing ALL axes or the Z axis after a print is completed may cause problems. But in this case, homing the X or Y axis should be fine. That won't run into the previously printed part.
