Infill Pattern Issue

Hello - anyone else having this problem?

I select the infill pattern of "rectilinear" - and it does this for Layer 1. BUT it changes it on Layer 2 to concentric pattern - and hence the print does not work!!

The options does not seem to allow for any variation here - so seems to be an error??

I don't think I have ever seen this. Can you post a factory file?

Re: Infill Pattern Issue

its a very odd thing. i just keep saving the FFF settings and re-processing - and randomly it uses rectilinear.

hard to post a screenshot - as it would be of a concentric layer - and then one of the FFF settings. not much more details than that?

happened yesterday - 3 saves later - it worked.

now setting up again today and doing 4 saves - trying different FFF files as base - and same issue.

very head scratching....

Re: Infill Pattern Issue

screenshot showing infill pattern is completing a concentric fill - even with setting as rectilinear

Re: Infill Pattern Issue

Here is a screenshot for an even more head scratching moment....

The first 14 layers comes up as rectilinear - posted a screenshot. So you feel like it's working - and then you check further layers.

There does not seem to be any settings to CHANGE the infill pattern type by layer - so how is it doing it?
And how do I correct - as need rectilinear for the part strength.....

Re: Infill Pattern Issue

your not setting up multiple processes on the part that are set to start and stop at different layers? unless thats what you are doing i have no answer for you since i have never seen or heard of anyone ever having a situation like that. i would contact support and send them a link to this thread for reference. i personally would start by uninstalling the software and reinstalling.

Re: Infill Pattern Issue

I am setting up multiple settings for the part - but the first 15mm have the same process assigned.
what would an issue be that you are thinking about?

contacted support. waiting on response.

Re: Infill Pattern Issue

well i was just thinking that one process may be set with one infill and the other process with a different one. thats the only thing i can think of that would give you that situation. if you set up the part with just one process does is keep the same infill type through the whole piece?
