I just changed to V4, and the raft I was successful with changed to "impossible to get off without destroying the part". I am printing the last few sections of a 3DLabPrint Stearman wing. It was pulling from my print bed, so I added raft, which cured it.
Now the same files in V4 produce raft that still lifts from the print bed! AND it is much firmer attached to the edge of the wing.
I changed to brim, which is just skirt with no spacing from the part. I used 2 layers, and 6 outlines and it looks promising.
So, my point is that I can print "brim" but I think I could print "skirt" because they are so similar.
In my case, I just modified the STL. The alternative would have been to go back to version 3, but I also wanted to use two different layer heights within the print.
