Simplify3D User Forum

Sorry to ask a newbie question but other slicers I have used have always had a filament library of some sort that was separate from the other print quality parameters.

I'm sure Simplify3D has one too but can someone point me in the right direction?

Whilst I'm asking newbie questions, is there a live equivalent of the preview mode that shows the current state of the print? (Like you get in Repetier host or OctoPrint)

For the preview, it automatically follows along with the build by default. So that should already be happening if you are printing over USB. You can also go to Tools > Machine Control Panel if you want to see more info about temperatures, fans, etc
