Simplify3D User Forum

I have been using Simplify3D for a few weeks now, and I have come across an area where some extra features can be added.

I would like to see more variables being added to the "Scripts" tab under - "Additional Terminal Commands" - these being:

• Add a "REPLACEFIRST" node which can be used to replace only the first occurrence of a string
• Add a "REPLACELAST" node which can be used to replace only the final occurrence of a string

I feel that adding these would open up some more custom scripting options.

What specifically are you looking to do? If you give more details, someone may be able to give you a creative solution to your problem.

I am attempting to create a material change script (for a single extruder) - this I have been doing the Tool Change Script section. However, when in the Tool Change Script section it initiates a tool change at the very start of the script. I would like to remove this first tool change, as I always have the correct filament loaded to start the print.
