In Windows 8, adding Simplify3D to the Start menu means that when you run Simplify3D the operating system automatically builds a list of recently opened factory files, which are accessed via the Start menu option.

Unfortunately, Simplify3D doesn't support command line options - so those links to factory files do not work.

I would therefore like to request that Simplify3D is modified so that a command line specifying a factory file can be supplied.

Furthermore, in most regular applications the File menu contains an option listing the most recently opened files, making it very easy to reload a recently worked on project - without having to navigate thru Windows Explorer to find the file of interest. I would therefore appreciate it if consideration could be given to recently loaded factory files being shown shown in the File menu.

Version 3.0 now includes automatic file associations so that you can easily open a file with the software. This is automatically applied to gcode, stl, and factory files.

Recent file menu was also added in version 3.0
