horizontal shifting similar like "elephants foot"

Hello guys,

I'm new to 3D prints and have a weird problem with my printed parts.

The models I print (mostly cases) have all a too large bottom part.
First of all I thougt the printbed is not correctly leveled (but it is).
Then I thougt that the "First Layer Settings" (like Height and Width) are smashing too much plasitc into the first layer (currently at 100% height and 100% width).
Then I checked my flow rate but this also looks correct to me.

So I printed some cubes that again had the same problem.
The cubes had 3 solid bottom layers and outline shell.

The first 3 layers are "squished" out.
Then I printed this cube again but with 5 bottom layers.
Now the first 5 layers are squished out.

As the result/fault is constant I dont think that there is a bedlevel problem or too much plastic extruded.
If you need any other setting values please tell me.

I will upload a picture of these 2 cubes.

Can anyone tell me how I can solve this problem?

You are probably over-extruding, so anytime you print a solid layer, you are getting too much plastic (since those are 100% filled layers).

You nozzle may also be starting too close to the bed

I was thinking the same thing. How many perimeters are being applied?

Thanks for you quick answers.

I have a Creality Cr-10 and at heated bed (70°C) and heated nozzle (220°C) the distance is so, that I can "feel" a 0.08mm paper sheet beween the bed and the nozzle.
So it fits under the nozzle but at moving the paper it has little grip.

If there is a better way on adjusting the bed level, I apreciate any tips (but I think the bed is leveled correctly).

About the over extrusion:
Where do I start to solve this problem?
Should I just decrease the flow rate (actually the Extrusion Multiplier is at 0,87) or where is the best place to adjust it?
The actual value of the Extrusion Multiplier was tested, as I printed with 0.2mm heigt and 0.42mm extrusion width on a 0.4mm nozzle.
I decreased the value so that a single outline shell was 0.42mm and 2 outline shells was 0.84mm.

I was just printing 1 permiter at the cubes on the picture above.
But it also appears on 2 perimeters.

if you want me to print something different or with different settings than just tell me and I will do so :)

Thanks a lot!

I printed like 30 test cubes for this problem and I can not solve it.
If i print with 0% infill than this happens all the time - no matter what my settings are.
bed is leveled and the extrusion multiplier should be also ok.

If I set different infills (like 60%, 40%, 20%) at different hights (with variable settings wizzard) then I get "steps" in the cubes.

Can someone please print a 20x20x5mm cube with 3 or 5 solid bottom layers, 1-2 perimeter shells, with 0.25mm layer heigt at a 0.4mm nozzle and show me that its no software bug?

I really have no idea what I can do :(

It won't be a software bug! It has to be your settings...

Its not first layer settings as the first layer looks spot on for both prints in your photo. I'm wondering if you may be printing too fast...in fact its really difficult giving advice when very little is known about the settings used.

Can you attach a factory file for a print that comes out like the photo in your first post. That way, it will be easier to suggest what to change.....
