where does this marks came from?

Hi,

I´m wondering why this piece have that kind of marks only at the bottom, where the Y axis went all the way for the 160mm total print dimension. As soon as the Y axis start to print at another "dimension", after that big fillet in the Z direction, the marks (bands?) were gonne (well, not totally, we can see them also in 2 sections above)..
Is that something about how the steepers works, and drivers, and that kind of stuff? :)

Re: where does this marks came from?

What Brand and model of printer are you using?

and... Yes, the "zebra" pattern is probably from missed steps on the extruder stepper.

I have a Wanhao i3 Plus and had these for a long time.

I experimented and eliminated them by adding what is called a "smoother" Now they have 4 diode and 8 diode smoothers. I and most others found that the 8 diode smoother works the best, at least with the stepper drivers I have in the i3 plus.
