nozzle is 0.4mm, so one might imagine a 0.2 gap in a 1mm wall, no gap in a 1.2 wall.... number of layers on the outside affects this so that the gap re-appears when the wall gets thicker. it seems simplify 3D could be a bit more clever at avoiding printing two separated walls with no infill!
