Weird slicing issue

Hi,
I've been using S3D for some 90 prints without issues, works great. (Minor issue with S3D depending on network cards for license, but you've handled this nicely for me, thanks!)

I'm trying to print this: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1996188 and downloaded the STL file, Imported the file into S3D and it looks OK in the model view. When I slice it, the bottom part doesn't get a "bottom" layer at all. Is this a model issue?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Weird slicing issue

There are lots of issues with that STL file. Run the repair checks in S3D and you will see.

Fix the model first and then it should work (you can use makeprintable, netfabb, 3D builder, etc)

Re: Weird slicing issue

This is getting more and more frequent nowadays with all these free-to download models......

Attached is a corrected version. If you have Windows 10, download the free 3D Builder app....it can automatically cure many of these crap files!
