Log into your Account on the website.....and download the update from there. Its titled as v4.0 download.....but its v4.0.1.

v4.0.1 will install as a separate installation so you can have multiple versions available at the same time. I have v3.0.1, v3.02, v3.1, v3.1.1, v4.0.0 and v4.0.1 all loaded and useable. I suppose it might be time to unload a couple of them....

just wondering why 'Check for Updates' inside the 'Help'-Menu still states: no update available...?

Forget about wondering.....wondering is difficult!

Simply log into Your Account on the website.....and download the update from there. Its titled as v4.0 download.....but its v4.0.1.....notice the name of the file that is downloaded!

As for the team at S3D:
1. Like other have said, WHY does the 'Check for Updates" not get us from version 4.0.0 TO 4.0.1? We should not need to log in, download and install all over again.

2. The website "Release Notes" list the 4.0.1 improvements, but no word about how to make the update.

3. So I searched THIS Forum for "4.0.1" plus other variations, and got ZERO results. I had to use Google to get here to this post. Come on S3D! Please let users search for what is actually alread posted. The search results needs repair - please.

4. Lastly, is there a forum section for "updates" or specific "version issues?" Maybe a page that shows us what the changes are?

I still love S3D, we just need to continue our efforts to make it better.
