Beginning of outside perimeter issues

Hi Everyone,

Please have a look at the attachment. I have upgraded to v4 and all of a sudden I am getting these lines on my prints. Before this printed smooth.

These are happening it would seem as the extruder is over extruding on the outer perimeter at the start. The extruder is going left to right so for the first 2 or 3mm it's over extruding on the outer layer only. Watching the inner perimeter and it's seem about right.

I have slowed the print speed right down to 20mm/s incase it was backlash in the machine. I have also tried printing this at 45 degrees off so both motors are actively running to trying to smooth any jerking. Belts are all tight.

I have also added a restart of -0.4mm which has made no real difference because this is changing the inside perimeter and not the outside.

Is there something obvious I am missing as to why this has suddenly started, same setting and filament and printer....just v4 changed.

try increasing jerk and acceleration while keeping speed low (15-20mm/sec)

are you using some experimental pressure control in marlin or some other firmware?

did you run a calibration cube, are you getting the proper wall thickness on calib cube?

Thanks for your reply,

I am using an FF Creator Pro with Sailfish7.7 and not too sure how to find the jerk setting?

interestingly however, i changed the print underspeed from about 10mm/s to about 30mm/s and the print actually looks better at the higher speed using S3D v3.1.1, if i slow it down again it looks as bad as it was on v4 so I guess my conclusion of it being a slicer problem was incorrect.

I haven't printed a calibration cube.
