Clarification re:temperature setpoints with multiple process

Hi,

I'm confused about the following: multi-process triggering is done via height in mm, e.g., you can tell the software, at 20mm, stop printing process A and start printing process B. However, temperature setpoints are coordinated in layers, not height from the build platform. So my question is: are the temperature setpoints relative to the number of layers from when the process kicks in? Or are they activated after an absolute number of layers from the print bed? In other words: if process B starts at 20mm, has layer heights of .1mm, and a temperature setpoint at layer 10, does the temperature command get set at 21mm? Or does it never get set at all, because at layer 10 of the overall print (where Z height is 1mm from the bed), process B is not active?

Thanks for the clarification!

Re: Clarification re:temperature setpoints with multiple pro

An easy way to think about it is that the layer number that you set should be the same if you are printing with that process by itself, or or you are printing with that process along with 5 others.

For example, if you setup process A with a temperature setpoint at layer 10, it will always occur when the 10th layer of process A is printed. So if it helps, try slicing a single process by itself to confirm this.
