Corkscrew printing mode - pause at corners

Hello,

I am trying to print this polygonal pen holder in "corkscrew" / "vase" mode on my Cetus 3D printer:

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:430689

I have noticed that when the extruder walks around the perimeter, at SOME corners of the polygonal outline it stops for half a second which results in ugly blobs. At other corners it just walks through as it should and no blobs appear.

Where does this pause come from and how can I deactivate it?

cheers,
Rolf

Are you printing via USB or SDcard?

I have micropauses around 0.5 sec on almost every print on both my printer (diff hardware) , and i print via USB. Have done so all the time, and pauses started after 4.0 and 4.01 install.

Just verifying what you use.

right now printing a drivecogsheel 60mm diameter, and it has already paused 3 times even before i have printed 30%.
Had to cancel last one because it blobbed so bad that the head crashed the print.
