Issue when slicing any model

Hi everyone,

I have been slicing my models with simplify3d for 2 weeks now without any problems.

However, what is happening today is that whenever I try to slice (by pressing the "prepare to print" button) I get the following error message: "Please ensure that all processes contain at least one layer before printing.", then the software becomes unstable and nothing works properly anymore (ex. I am not able to remove the model from the models list) and I have to close it and open again.

Could anyone give me any help? I would be very gratefull :)

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like one of your processes doesn't have any layers, so it won't work! Check the Advanced tab to make sure you have the correct start/stop at height options enabled.

Re: Issue when slicing any model

I've run into this as well. This appears to be a bug. When you take a model, say 100mm high. Create two processes, one from 0 to 50mm and the second from 50 to 100. (You don't need the 0 or 100.) Both point to the same model. Both are copies of the same process with no changes other than the start and stop settings... you will get this message. But clearly, they are both inclusive of the entire model and both contain valid layers.

This became unstable when I grouped two objects in the. previous project, but removed the individual objects. That left an empty group that I couldn't delete. Restarting the app allowed it to go away, but this current project will no longer slice correctly. (Previous to the grouping, it worked just fine.)

Re: Issue when slicing any model

How were you able to delete the objects but have the group remain? In my attempts to recreate this issue, selecting either of two objects after grouping them together should result in a selection of the entire group. Deleting/Removing with the group selected results in the deletion of the group and all models inside of it.
